Ways You Can Help.

Getting involved with the CSJ Ed Fund can have numerous benefits. It provides a platform to work collaboratively with passionate like-minded individuals and organizations promoting economic justice in our state. By bringing activism from the local to the statewide level, you can see the type of impact your time is providing. This makes your volunteer work much more unique because you can see how the hours you dedicated transform lives and communities and make a real difference. It also creates a stronger sense of belonging within your neighborhood and community because you are demonstrating that you are looking out for one another.

The CSJ Ed Fund engages in a wide range of activities, including:

  • Attending Candidate Forums
  • Attending Legislative Town Halls
  • Attending State/Local Legislative Hearings
  • Canvassing
  • Coalition building with statewide, regional, and local partners
  • Community Outreach
  • Engaging in Issue/Policy Discussions
  • Fundraising
  • Holding Activist Meetings
  • Meeting with State/Local Legislators
  • Meeting with Coalition Partners
  • Organizing Educational Forums
  • Organizing Rallies
  • Phonebanking
  • Petition Signing
  • Signature Gathering
  • Story Sharing

One of the greatest aspects of volunteering with the CSJ Ed Fund is the flexibility you have in choosing what kinds of activities you wish to join us for. We have a combination of in-person/virtual activities to accommodate the kind of work that fits best for you. You are free to participate in all or some of the activities listed above depending on your schedule and desired level of involvement. Every little bit helps, and your time and dedication is much appreciated!

Share Your Story

To help legislators understand the real-life impacts of policies on their constituents, it’s crucial to collect and share personal stories. Stories have the power to be heard and tell the truth. We invite members of the community to share their experiences and how they are affected by our focus areas, like public transportation or paid leave.

Internships

Empowering Future Leaders

4Coalition for Social Justice Education Fund Interns typically spend 10-20 hours each week diving into the economic justice issue areas we focus on. There is flexibility around the number of hours worked per week for many of the positions. There is also a large amount of flexibility around the days and hours of the internship for the majority of the positions. We can accommodate both internships that are for credit and internships that are not for credit. Due to funding constraints, we, unfortunately, are unable to provide paid internships at this time. We intentionally structure our internships to be as hands-on as possible and provide extensive training. Our interns take on leadership roles within our organization and are offered the opportunity to take on additional responsibilities for greater skill building.

Our internship programs are split into two tracks (Issue Campaign Interns and Communications Interns), with positions in a variety of our focus areas. Interns may be considered for multiple positions. Many internships are primarily in-person with some having both virtual and in-person responsibilities.

Applications are open till April 30th, 2024 for our Summer 2024 internship program. Click the button below to apply!
